VISIT WHITE VILLAGE MEDINA-SIDONIA AND AN ORGANIC ORCHARD

Historic walk in the white village of Medina-Sidonia and visit to an organic orchard where we also will enjoy tapas in the sunset.

On this tour we visit the ‘the white village on the hill’, Medina-Sidonia where a local guide will reveal the ancient history of the village. Among other things, who founded the village and its importance to the Romans. On this tour we will also pass by a small pastry shop where we will try a delicious local almond specialty.

After the tour, we will venture down the hill to visit the organic orchard ‘Huerta de los Almendros’. Kerry and Sacha took over the orchard in 2014 and have turned it around from conventional to organic growth, using the methods of Permaculture. Among other things they cultivate almonds, olives, lemons, fruits and vegetables. The orchard is placed in the most beautiful surroundings with breathtaking views and sunsets. This visit will take us on the journey and experiences that Kerry and Sacha have had with the orchard up until now. We will also get to know about their sustainable alternatives for daily living. The tour in the orchard will end with a local food experience whilst we enjoy the sunset.
