HIKING IN LOS TORUÑOS NATURAL PARK
Join us on a hiking trip to Los Toruños Natural Park
Situated just outside of Cádiz city, between Puerto Real and El Puerto de Santa Maria. The park was proclaimed a protected natural space in 1989. It contains a mix of marshes and scrubland with flora and fauna, a sandy forest with pine trees where wild rabbits live, the river San Pedro with unique bird species and also a beach, from where you can enjoy a view of Cádiz city.
Los Toruños natural park also contains a great deal of history from back in the days. Among other, it was here that Napoleon had his camp and fortification, when he tried to take over Cádiz in year 1810 during the Peninsula war.
Take a walk in the lovely park with us, enjoy the wildlife and get to know about the history. At the end of the tour, we will stop and have something to drink by the river, before we head back to Cádiz city.
We will go by public transportation, as it is most sustainable and affordable. We will go by train and come back by bus.
